Spring Beach.
February 28th 2021, Tregardock Beach, Cornwall.
The sea-lines start halfway from the broad horizon. Painted, evenly spaced, out of the blue. A big ship sits exactly on the line between sea and sky, like a child’s drawing. Someone else could tell you exactly how far out that boat is. I like this perch high above the shore. Lain in green grass with the amphitheatre cliffs bringing the beach to me. A brown and white dog plays in the incoming tide, all legs and tail and joy. His energetic reflection mirrored perfectly in the wet sand, joining at 4 feet, but never all at once. Above, birds flash white briefly and then turn back into sky.
